Bryce Canyon National Park
Bryce Canyon was amazing to visit! There was a nice movie in the Visitor's Center that explained how the canyons are formed and why the scenery continues to change. The altitude of the plateau of the park is about 9000 feet, and one looks down into the rocks from the top. High altitude trees grow there like Bristlecone Pine and firs. There are also prairie dogs and Bobcats. The road through to park is 16 miles long with many scenic overlooks. There is also a Lodge with good meals, accommodations, a gift shop and park hosted astronomy viewing of the night sky. Lighting and summer thunderstorms do their sculpting of these canyons.
